Massage Mode

Massage Mode is a rapid, gentle rhythm that mimics the suckling action that babies use to stimulate a letdown. The level selection (1–10) in Massage Mode changes the suction strength within Embody's lower range of vacuum strength (from 15mmHg). When you turn on your Embody, it will start in Massage mode (on the level you last used) for a preset of 2 minutes. After running for the preset 2 minutes in Massage Mode, Embody will switch into whatever other mode and level you were using in your previous session.

Express Mode

Express mode is a slow, strong suction cycle similar to a hungry baby's feeding action. The level selection (1–10) in Express Mode changes the suction strength within Embody's higher range of vacuum strength (up to 255mmHg). When switching into Express Mode, Embody will remember your preferred level from your previous use.

Mixed Mode

Mixed Mode interleaves massage cycles in between each express cycle. This mode can provide extra stimulation and improve comfort. The level selection (1–10) in Mixed Mode changes the number of massage cycles that are in between every express cycle (i.e. level 8 has 8 massage cycles for every express cycle.) When switching into Mixed Mode, Embody will remember your preferred level from your previous use.
When you turn on your Embody, it will start in Massage mode (on the level you last used) for a preset 2 minutes.

Wearable pump is the only way

I wish I knew about this pump when I had my first. I have two under two and it’s been an absolute game changer. It’s amazing the amount of things you can get done whilst pumping. I had an issue with one of the motor units and I contacted Rach and was sent out a brand new replacement within 24hours, fantastic customer service and an excellent product. Highly recommend. Comfortable and convenient!

I am only pumping due to my little one not being able to latch and have found the Embody Wearable Pumps to be a life saver. The pump is super comfortable and can fit in my bra so I can pump wherever I need to. I can also use one while the other is charging so they are always ready to go when needed. Highly recommend! I have also found the Customer Service with YOUHA to be fantastic, if you have any questions they are very helpful and responsive.

I have been recommending this pump to my clients for a few years now, it's discreet, and convenient and the app is great. Plus Youha understand the importance of a correct flange size.

I have been personally using this pump and finding it quite enjoyable. It feels very comfortable, almost pleasant, and I feel relaxed that the pump times out after 30 mins. I don't need to double pump currently, so I love that I essentially have two pumps which means washing up and sterilising becomes easier.

Perfect for what I wanted

I was so excited to receive mine yesterday. I used it for the first time today and it was exactly what I wanted. J was able to walk around the house and make myself breakfast while I pumped. And the suction is fine for me.

I did make sure I read the instruction manual as there are notes in there about replacing parts and how to avoid damaging the motor. But it’s worthwhile for the freedom that I get.

Game changer

After my breastfeeding journey not going to plan with my first baby I was on the front foot with the impending arrival of number two. I did a session with my lactation consultant ahead of our sons arrival and she recommended the Embody pump to increase my supply.

I had already paid for a 3 month hire of a hospital grade pump the same as I’d used last time. The benefits of the embody sounded too good to not give it a try as the thought of being attached to the couch pumping not only is unappealing it’s also unrealistic now that I have a 2 year old.

I was worried the pump would not be powerful enough compared to the hospital grade pump. You definitely don’t need to worry about this. It’s way more comfortable and as effective if not more effective.

I’m finding many things easier the second tine round but hands down my feeding journey has been the biggest contrast and I believe having a great lactation consultant (jwp care) together with the Embody have been my game changers.

Comfortable, efficient & totally worth the investment!

I’m a first time Mum & was keen to breastfeed while also pumping a bit so my partner could feed bottles to bubs too/ I could have some time away from bubs without getting engorged. We decided to invest in these wearable pumps as I’m an active person & didn’t like the idea of being tethered to a device/ relegated to the couch to pump… I’m so grateful for the freedoms these have provided me with! I’ve managed to easily pump in a diverse range of settings: at the beach, at fancy restaurants, while driving, while out walking & at our local pub… These pumps helped me maintain a solid milk supply in those crucial first few months when bubs was feeding pretty regularly but sometimes linking naps together so that I had a build up/ wanted to be feeding/ pumping every 3-4hrs…. Further, I have been able fo build up an excellent stash of frozen milk if I need it. — I can’t recommend these wearable pumps more highly. I’ve literally used them at least twice a day for these past 5 months. And we just bought another set for my sister-in-law. These pumps are certainly worth the investment! YOU are worth the investment muma! HAPPY PUMPING!

How does Youha Embody wearable breast pump work?

Embody fits into your bra and can be controlled with the buttons on each motor or remotely via the My YOUHA App to make expressing comfortable, convenient and most delightfully, free of any cords and tubing! The breast milk collects in the cups as you pump, when you're done you simply pour it into a bottle or storage bag.

How long does a pumping session last?

Approximately 15-20 minutes per session. You can conveniently check how long you've been pumping by opening the MY YOUHA app on your phone (even if you're mid-session) which will display a stopwatch that started when you turned your pump motors on. The App makes it super easy to track your sessions too, when you turn the motors off, it invites you to save the pre-recorded time and duration of each side (you can also input the volume of milk you expressed to track your supply). A safety setting will stop the pump at the maximum recommended session time of 30 minutes in case you forget you're pumping!

Can Youha Embody be used for single or double expressing?

Yes, Embody can be used for either single or double sided expressing. Controlling your Embody via the My YOUHA App allows you to synchronise their settings or control each side independently.

Can I pump on one side and breastfeed on the other?

You certainly can pump on one side and breastfeed on the other, allowing you to consolidate your overall feeding/expressing time.

What do I do with my breast milk once I've expressed?

Once you've expressed with Embody, you can store your milk in your baby's bottles or milk storage bags. You can chose to either pour through hole at the top (flat part) of your cup with the breast shield still in place, regulating the flow by pressing on the soft shield, or otherwise simply peel the lip of the breast shield off the lower edge of the cup for a speedy transfer. If you're out and about, pop your bottles or bags of milk in a cooler pack with an ice pack to keep it safe until you can transfer to a fridge.

Is Youha Embody wearable breast pump comfortable to express with?

Absolutely, Youha Embody and its soft silicone breast shields are comfortable for most pumpers to express with. Once Embody's variable strength massage mode has stimulated your letdown, you can choose from 10 levels of suction strength in express mode, or use mixed mode which allows you to add between 1 and 10 massage cycles in between each express cycle for ultimate comfort and a more natural feel. The ability to control each side independently helps you easily find the most comfortable setting for each breast, and offset any difference in fullness or tenderness. Breast shields for Embody come in several sizes and convertors are available to accommodate natural fluctuations in nipple size throughout your time breastfeeding.

Do I need a special bra to use Youha Embody?

You won't need a pumping bra, but maternity bras (such as The ONE Multi-Performance Maternity Bra) work best when using Embody as the fabrics tend to be soft shell and the straps extend at the front to allow a little extra room for the pumps.

What accessories are compatible with Youha Embody?

Embody comes with a specially designed protective travel bag, and is also compatible with other Youha accessories, including: Maternity bra and breast shield convertors, silicone cleaning brushes, 210mL bottles (for storing expressed breast milk) and teat with cap (for using those bottles for feeding), breast milk collection shells (for catching milk on non-pumping side), cooler bag and ice pack (for safely transporting your breast milk), pumping bag (for safely transporting your breast milk, snacks and other on-the-go essentials).

How does Embody connect to the My YOUHA app?

Embody connects via bluetooth to the My YOUHA app, available for download from App Store and Google Play. After the initial connection is made, the bluetooth automatically connects when you turn on each pump. You can even open the app up mid-way through a session and it will know (and show you) exactly how long you've already been pumping for. The My YOUHA app has been designed by and for pumpers and gives you control of all Embody settings in a simple interface that you can even switch to dark mode if you need to avoid waking anyone next to you! The statistics give you (and your lactation consultant if necessary) a rich picture of your milk output per side and over time.

Does the My YOUHA app store my data on my device alone?

The My YOUHA app only houses your tracking data and statistics locally on your device, keeping it secure at your fingertips.

Can I use the My YOUHA app to track my milk output and sessions with other pumps?

Yes, you can use the tracking functionality on the My YOUHA app even if you pump is not connected (or not an Embody). Simply use the manual data entry in the main menu to let the app know how long your session was, what time you started, and what your output was on each side. The statistics pages will help build you and/or your lactation consultant a picture of your overall supply and aid with troubleshooting.
